Over the last 10 years, we have let government spending and the deficit get out of control, hurting economic growth and job creation. We need more fiscal discipline in Washington to limit wasteful government spending and keep taxes low.
Balancing the Budget and Keeping Taxes Low
If families across Louisiana can sit down at the kitchen table and balance their checkbooks, we ought to be able to balance the budget in Washington. Over the last 10 years, we have let government spending and the deficit get out of control, hurting economic growth and job creation. We need more fiscal discipline in Washington to limit wasteful government spending and keep taxes low. As a fiscal conservative, I’ve fought for lower taxes, so small businesses can create jobs and middle class families can keep more money in their pocket. And I’ve won the Chamber of Commerce Spirit of Enterprise award for legislation four years running because of my work to help cut taxes for small businesses that create jobs.
We need to cut government spending and get the deficit under control so we can create more economic opportunity for Louisiana.
