It's a Senator's number one job to protect America, keep Louisiana safe from terrorists, and keep our military strong. That's why I've worked with Democrats and Republicans to support increased funding for homeland security and defense, and why I've opposed plans to cut important defense programs. That's also why I've supported increasing the pay and benefits for the brave men and women who protect our country.
As Senator, I'll fight to keep America safe from terror and our enemies. Louisiana is home to three military bases, and we need to continue investing in these and other facilities that are so vital to our security.
