Health Care

Making Health Care More Affordable

Health care costs are spiraling out of control. I’ve talked to many Louisianians who tell me they’re happy with their current insurance and they just want to keep what they have—but the costs are rising so much they can’t afford to.

We need health care reform to fix our broken health care system.  But it needs to be fiscally responsible, market-based health care reform that protects the sanctity of life.  We need to control health care costs and make health care more affordable and accessible to Louisiana middle class families.  And we need to make common-sense reforms like stopping insurance companies from denying people coverage based on pre-existing conditions.
